An accomplished professional photographer with an engaging human touch, Sara Harris brings out the best in her subjects and the things they love. From family homes to businesses, the studio to the tasting room and beyond, her flair for warm photographic storytelling and natural sense of style places people and brands in their best and brightest light.
For nearly two decades, Sara has built relationships with clients around the country. Providing beautiful family photography, she’s been there as babies grow into children and then adults – capturing first steps to senior pictures to weddings to the birth of their own kids. Sara documents those fleeting moments and milestones not just in imagery, but tangible keepsakes that can be passed down through generations.
Along the way many of Sara’s clients were professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs who turned to her for headshots, marketing imagery, event photography, and more to elevate and capture the essence of their brand. Earning a reputation as a trusted concierge photographer, Sara moved into a larger studio to better meet her clients’ needs.
In addition to her family portrait business, Sara also specializes in headshots, marketing photography and branded lifestyle imagery, particularly in the food and beverage space. She has proven how high-quality imagery can drive success for businesses of all sizes. Her passion for the power of small business led her to becoming owner and editor of The Scout Guide Williamsburg and Chesapeake Bay, a publication focused on the best of living local.
Sara is a member of the PPA (Professional Photographers Association) and the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP), and is proud to have had her imagery featured on billboards, online and print media such as People, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest, Southern Living, Garden & Gun, and by other industry leaders.
She has also had the honor of photographing celebrities, prominent elected officials, dignitaries, actors, musicians and corporate executives from around the country.
Sara graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) where she met her husband Brian, a partner at Consociate Media. They reside in southern Gloucester, Virginia with their sons AJ and Jake who share their love of coastal living and travel.
